Proprio is a Seattle startup developing a system for real-time immersive volumetric video imaging and mediated surgical interaction. We develop custom hardware and cutting edge algorithms to enhance human capabilities in high precision activities such as spine and brain surgery.

This is a leadership role focused on driving and delivering a suite of modern pre-and-intraoperative surgical navigation experiences to the market. This role spans areas such as computer vision, 3D graphics, robotics, mixed reality, with a heavy need for someone with a strong user centered design culture.

Responsibilities
  • As a program leader for this team, your role requires both effective experience and collaborative leadership across multiple disciplines, including research, program management, design, data science, computer vision, hardware integration and software engineering.
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership over a product roadmap to deliver work that is properly scoped & prioritized.
  • Understand the overall product vision and strategy in order to align multiple feature areas or project priorities.
  • Develop metrics to measure and ensure customer happiness.
  • Remove obstacles and work towards consensus for multiple feature areas or projects.
  • May be assigned to various projects that utilize the required skills to deploy successful product or services releases, from early product definition and scoping to detailed specification, implementation and roll-out phases.
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up environment, embracing ambiguity, and creative problem solving skills.Ability and passion to lead cultural initiatives, having a positive impact on a courageous and curious team,  and fostering an environment of inclusion.
  • Working within a scrum ecosystem.

Requirements
  • You should have demonstrated professional experience in product delivery and success leading deep technical architecture, application design discussions, hands-on implementation and deployment of products to market.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a related degree and equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of program management experience or equivalent in rapidly evolving technology.
  • 3 or more ship cycles - experienced shipping software and having been through more than one shipping cycle (same or different product).
  • 5+ years' experience in Program/Project Management or as a scrum Product Owner.
  • Medical device and/or software experience highly recommended.
